Magdalena is a Neuroscience Ph.D. student at the Susanna Carmona’s Group of Neuroimaging of the Instituto de Investigación Sanitaria Gregorio Marañón of Madrid. She holds a Degree in Biotechnology (Polytechnic University of Valencia) and a Master’s in Neuroscience (University of Barcelona). Her research focuses on characterizing, by neuroimaging techniques, the brain remodeling in the women’s brains during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods and determining how such adaptations can deviate from normality and cause mental health problems. In 2018 Magdalena received a PFIS Predoctoral contract from the Institute of Health Carlos III, and in 2020 she was awarded a Fulbright predoctoral grant to complete her Ph.D. at the University of Southern California of Los Angeles California. She is currently one of the Team Leaders of the ERC project BeMother.
